Ang Ibig Sabihin ng Pagiging Driven by the Gospel

And this assumes a certain understanding ng gospel. What I’ll do sa article na ito is to explain muna ang “gospel”, then ang “driven” para maintindihan natin what it means to be driven by the gospel.

Now, important for us to know ang specific na understanding na ito, dahil ang sabi ni Paul na if mayroong nag preach ng gospel na kontra sa tinuro sa mga taga Galatia, then ang nag preach ng false gospel na ito should be accursed (Gal. 1:9). Getting this right is important, kahit si Paul after fourteen years ay umakyat siya sa Jerusalem. He set before them ang gospel na pino-proclaim niya sa Gentiles, para maging sure siya na hindi siya nag run in vain (Gal. 2:2). Ito ang gospel na power ni God to save anyone who believes (Rom. 1:16), through this ay we have eternal life (John 3:16), we are justified and ang faith natin ay counted as righteousness (Rom. 4:5), from being dead in sin ay dito ay we are made alive (Eph. 2:4-5), dito ay we are sealed with the Holy Spirit (Eph. 1:13-14), we are made children of God (John 1:12), and this helps us live righteous lives na according sa sound doctrine, which is according sa gospel na nag glorify kay God (1 Tim. 1:11). This begs the question, “ano ba ang tama na gospel?”

Ang magandang summary nito ay natutunan ko kay Mark Dever sa article niya na, “What is the gospel?” Let me share sa inyo what he wrote there.

Pangalawa, what’s driven? Pag driven kasi ay we are compelled to accomplish a goal. To be gospel driven, then is to say na we look at every aspect of our life in light of the gospel, we live righteously to live consistent sa message ng gospel, ang decisions natin ay influenced in light ng pag glorify kay God through the gospel.
