Sinuway nila ang Diyos sa pagkain ng bungang ipinagbawal sa kanila. (Gen 3:6)

Malinaw na nakatala sa Banal na kasulatan ang pagtalikod, pagsuway, at pagrebelde ng tao laban sa Diyos. May simpleng utos ang Diyos na nangangailan ng simpleng pagsunod ngunit nagpadaya ang ating unang mga magulang sa panlilinlang ng kaaway.
Pinili nilang hindi sundin ang Diyos at nagpadala sa nasa ng laman, sa nasa ng mata at nagmalaki laban sa Diyos.
Sa teksto sa itaas makikita natin ang larawan ng pagbagsak ng tao mula sa orihinal na kanilang katuwiran at kabanalan. Lahat ito ay bunsod sa kanilang pagnanais na sundin ang sarili at hindi ang Diyos. Hindi sila nakuntento sa mga binigay ng Diyos na maaari nilang kainin.
Ganito din ang nangyayari madalas sa mga tao at maging sa mga bata. Hindi binibigyan ng halaga ang utos ng Diyos at pinipiling sumuway dito.
Sa Diyos ang Papuri!

Q.34. What was the sin of our first parents?
A. Eating the forbidden fruit. (Gen 3:6)
So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was to be desired to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate, and she also gave some to her husband who was with her, and he ate.
Genesis 3:6 ESV
The Scriptures clearly record man’s apostasy, disobedience, and rebellion against God. God has a simple command that requires simple obedience but our first parents were deceived by the deception of the enemy.
They chose not to obey God and gave in to the lusts of the flesh, the lusts of the eyes, and boasted against God.
In the text above, we see the picture of men’s fall from their original righteousness and holiness. It was all due to their desire to follow themselves and not God. They were not satisfied with what God had given them to eat.
The same thing often happens with people and even children. They do not value God’s command and choose to disobey it.
