Ang magnanakaw ay dumarating lamang upang magnakaw, pumatay, at pumuksa. Ako'y pumarito upang sila'y magkaroon ng buhay, at magkaroon nito nang may kasaganaan. Ako ang mabuting pastol. Ibinibigay ng mabuting pastol ang kanyang buhay para sa mga tupa. ~ John 10:10-11 ABAB
Malinaw sa bibliya na ang pagdurusa ng Anak sa krus at ang Kanyang ganap na pagsunod ay para sa mga inibig Niya lamang. Sila ang mga pinili ng Ama bago pa nilikha ang sanlibutan at silang pinag-alayan ng buhay ng Anak. Magkaisa ang Ama at Anak, maging ang Banal na Espiritu sa gawa ng katubusan. May mga partikular na tao na nasa puso ni Hesus nang pinadanak Niya ang Kanyang dugo sa krus ng kalbaryo.
Dito dapat nating ipakita sa ating mga anak ang dakilang pag-ibig ng Diyos, dahil sinigurado Niya na maliligtas mula sa kasalanan ang Kanyang mga inibig kay Kristo. Maaaring may mga katanungan ang mga bata kung bakit hindi lahat ay Kanyang inibig kay Kristo, pero sapat nang malaman nila na ito ay buhat sa malaya at marunong na desisyon ng Diyos.
Ito ay gabay sa mga magulang sa pagtuturo gamit ang Katekismong Baptist para sa mga bata.

Q.52. For whom did Christ obey and suffer?
A. For all whom God the Father gave to Christ. (Jn 10:10-11, 28-29)
The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep. ~ John 10:10-11 ESV
It is clear from the bible that the Son’s suffering on the cross and His perfect obedience are only for those whom He loves. They were the elect of the Father before the creation of the world and to whom the Son laid down His life. The Father and the Son, even the Holy Spirit, are united in the work of redemption. There were certain people who were in Jesus’ heart when He shed His blood on the cross of Calvary.
Here we must show our children the great love of God because He has made sure that those whom He loves in Christ will be saved from sin. They may have questions as to why God did not love all people in Christ, but it should be enough for them to know that it is all because of God’s free and wise counsel.
