Tinuturo sa atin ni Cristo ang kalooban ng Diyos (Acts 3:22-23)

Dahil si Cristo ang katuparan ng lahat ng propesiya sa lumang tipan, Siya ang Salita at ang Anak ng Diyos, dapat natin Siyang pakinggan. Siya ang kinatawan ng Ama sa mga tao, kaya kinakailangan na Siya ay Diyos din. Hindi Niya maihahayag ng malinaw at perpekto ang kalooban ng Ama kung hindi Siya Diyos.
Hindi lamang siya propeta kundi Siya ang dakilang propeta na higit sa lahat ng dumating na. Nagsalita ang Diyos sa pamamagitan ng Anak sa mga huling araw (Heb. 1:2). Ang Kanyang salita ang pangwakas at sapat na salita para sa mga tao ng Diyos. Dahil dito, mahalaga ang maingat na pakikinig sa Kanyang Salita sa tuwing ipinangangaral at binabasa ito.
Ang mga magulang ay dapat na sikaping ituro sa mga anak ang maingat na pakikinig sa Salita ng Diyos lalo na sa araw ng panambahan dahil ang pangangaral ng Salita ng Diyos ay isa sa paraan ng pagsasagawa ni Hesus ng Kanyang tungkulin bilang Dakilang Propeta.
Sa Diyos lamang ang papuri!

Q.71. How is Christ a prophet?
A. Christ teaches us the will of God. (Acts 3:22-23)
And it shall be that every soul who does not listen to that prophet shall be destroyed from the people.’ And all the prophets who have spoken, from Samuel and those who came after him, also proclaimed these days.

Since Christ is the fulfillment of all the prophecies in the old testament, He is the Word and the Son of God, we must listen to Him. He is the Father’s representative to men, so it is necessary that He is also God. He could not reveal clearly and perfectly the will of the Father if He were not God.
He is not only a prophet but He is the great prophet who is greater than all who came. God has spoken through the Son in the last days (Heb. 1: 2). His word is the final and sufficient word for God’s people. Because of this, it is important to listen carefully to His Word whenever it is preached and read.
Parents should seek to teach children to listen carefully to the Word of God especially on the day of worship because the preaching of the Word of God is one of the ways Jesus exercises His role as the Great Prophet.
