Sampung Utos (Deu 4:13)

At kanyang ipinahayag sa inyo ang kanyang tipan na kanyang iniutos na inyong ganapin, samakatuwid ay ang sampung utos; at kanyang isinulat ang mga ito sa dalawang tapyas na bato.

Natatangi ang Sampung Utos ng Diyos dahil ito lamang ang sinulat sa dalawang tapyas ng bato sa pamamagitan ng daliri ng Diyos (Exodus 31:18, 2 Cor 3:3). Ito din ang tinatawag na kautusang moral na iba sa mga seremonyal at mga batas na may kinalaman sa pamamahala ng bayan ng Israel. 

Ang Sampung utos ay nananatili ngayon kaya mahalaga na ito ay bigyang-toon ng mga magulang at ituro sa mga anak. Mainam din na ito’y kanilang masaulo dahil ang kautusan ay nagpapakita ng ating kasamaan at nagtuturo sa atin tungo kay Hesu-Kristo na Siyang ganap na nakatupad ng mga ito. 

Sa Diyos lamang ang papuri!

Ito ay gabay sa mga magulang sa pagtuturo gamit ang Katekismong Baptist para sa mga bata.

Q.77.  How many commandments did God give on Mount Sinai? 
A.   Ten Commandments. (Deut 4:13), 

And he declared to you his covenant, which he commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments, and he wrote them on two tablets of stone.

The Ten Commandments of God are unique in that they are the only ones written on two tablets of stone by God’s finger (Exodus 31:18, 2 Cor 3: 3). It is also called the moral law distinct to the ceremonial laws, and laws pertaining to the governance of the people of Israel or civil laws. 

The Ten Commandments remain today so it is important that they be taught by parents to their children. It is also beneficial for them to memorize it because the law shows our wickedness and points us to Jesus Christ who perfectly fulfilled them.
